Here’s former racer Bertie Bradnack, trying his level best to maintain a dignified low profile, at Brands Hatch in 1964. On the occasion of said Grand Prix of the British. born on 2nd February 1908 in Walsall, Staffordshire, Bertie clearly knew his way around a chip and almost certainly enjoyed sustained council with the occasional pie.
But, despite the fact that Bertie represented, even in his prime, a splendid abundance of meat-on-the-hoof (a mere 252 lbs (114 kilos) of it in his youth), he still fashioned himself a reputation as a respected and effective Formula 3 artist (seen here having a bit of a shout at Crystal Palace in 1953) and international rally driver.

As well as acting as the helmsman of the spectacularly obscure, Woden-Bristol Formula 2 implement.
So do not, therefore, fear the chip, embrace him as your friend, for he solicits naught in return, yet may reward the faithful with a Bradnackian munificence that goes far beyond all conjecture and desire.
