Ernest L. “Red” Forshee was from Wichita, Kansas. Best known for being a car owner of Jalopies in the 1950s and the owner of the Forshee Plumbing Sprint Car in the 60s and early 70s employing some of the best drivers around. He won the BCRA car owner title in 1967 and 1968.

In the 1950s 'Red' was a driver and raced a stock car co-owned by M. B. "Junior" Smith and Jack Walker.
