Test driver for Minardi and Benetton, went to the US to drive Indy cars.

Laurent Rédon was born in the Loire region of France. He was a test driver for Minardi in 1998 and Benetton the following year before heading off across the Atlantic to ply his trade in Indycars. He drove for the Mi-Jack Conquest Racing in the Indy Racing League in 2001 and 2002, including the 2002 Indianapolis 500, with a best finish of 3rd at the California Speedway.

He is the founder and manager of LRS Formula Europe an F1 driving experience and racing school.
