Brother of George Robson who won the Indy 500 in 1946, Hal raced at Indy three times without much luck.
Hal Robson was born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England but first to moved to Ontario and then to the United States in 1924.
His brother, George Robson, was the first post-war Indy 500 winner in 1946. George was killed in a crash at the Lakewood Speedway, Atlanta.
Hal drove in the Indy 500 three times. In 1946 he drove a Bugatti with a Miller engine but failed to finish due to engine problems. In 1947 he went out with drivetrain failure in an Adams/Offy and in 1948 he suffered engine failure again in an Adams Offy.
