Record updated 25-May-06
Robbie Stanley was born in Brownsburg. He won the All-Stars Circuit of Champions sprint car championship in 1990 before moved up to USAC. He then won three straight USAC National sprint car championships in 1991, 1992, and 1993, and was leading the championship again in 1994 when his career was tragically cut short in a fatal accident in the sprint car event at Winchester, Indiana. His car spun and after hitting the wall, came to rest across the main straight. With no time to talk evasive action, another car struck Stanley's Hoffman at full speed. Stanley was killed instantly.
