Rookie of the year at Indy in 1955 when he finished 7th. He raced at the Brickyard five times. His first race was his best result diving the salmon colored number 71 Martin Bros Silnes-Offy was built by New York's Frank Curtis. This car was built in '54 but had little use. Bill DeJournett was the mechanic.
In 56 and 57 he crashed out. He missed 1958 but returned in 1959 and 1960 but was unspectacular.
He was killed shortly after teh Indy 500 in a race at West Haven Speedway in June of 1960.
