Adrian Russell was a regular Formula Atlantic and Aurora Series competitor in the UK between 1976 and 1979.

Adrian Russell was a regular Formula Atlantic and Aurora Series competitor in the UK between 1976 and 1979.

He had an F3 GRD which he converted to Atlantic spec and he raced it in the Indylantic Series in 1976. He replaced the GRD with a Lola T460 with an Atlantic spec engine and used this quite a bit in Libre races in 1977 and 1978. He then aquired a March 762 F2 car later that year and in 1979 he bought the ex-South March 782. While Adrian was not exceptionally quick, his cars were always well prepared, and he was a staunch supporter of the UK series during these years.
