Marshall Sargent

Raced from 1949 to 1969, winning over 500 feature races on the oval tracks of America and Australia.

Marshall won a total of 88 main events at San Jose with most of them coming between 1960-1967. This is impressive,especially when all of his suspensions are taken into consideration. He won the Johnny Key Memorial in both 1960 and 1963, along with the track title in 1960 as well as the NASCAR State Championship.

Sargent battled his way to other titles in Sacramento, Alviso, and Salinas. He was one of the first Americans to venture overseas to Australia to compete and was twice the Australian Champion.

In a career that spanned from 1949 thru 1969, he won over 500 feature races along with numerous state and track championships.

His son Mike Sargent competed from 1968 to 1990, compiling over 200 feature wins with numerous state and local championships.
