Jeff Clinton was the CEO of the Anheuser-Busch distributor in St Louis. He had been racing sports cars since 1988 when in 2002 he fatally crashed his Lola Nissan at the Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Jeff Clinton, a resident of St. Louis, MO, USA, was the CEO of the Anheuser-Busch distributor, Grey Eagle Distributing, in St. Louis County.
Clinton had been racing sports cars since 1988 and had twice won sports Car Club of America National Championships: the GT-5 class in 1990 and the Sports 2000 class in 2000.
He raced in a number of professional racing series, and in 2002 was driving a Budweiser-sponsored Lola Nissan sports prototype in Grand Am with Archangel Motorsport. It was his second season with the team.
Tragically, during the second practice session for the Nextel 250 at the Homestead-Miami Speedway in March 2002, Clinton's Lola Nissan veered off course as he entered Turn 1. He spun and rolled several times. The internal roll bar failed and Jeff died at the scene from massive head injuries.
