Joe Bessey

Joe Bessey was born in Scarborough, Maine and is a former NASCAR owner and driver. In the mid-1990s he won 21 races and won two championships in the Busch Grand National North Series.

He then moved to the Busch Series. Running in 127 races he took one win at Dover in 1997. In 1999 he ran five Busch Series races without a top-10 finish and in 2000 he raced once at New Hampshire, where he finished last.

He then heading back to the Busch Grand National North Series in 2001, where he continues to field teams.  Also a keen businessman, Bessey started his own trucking companies when he was in his 20's.
