Franz Konrad has won many sports car races. He is also head of Konrad Motorsport one of the most respected names in racing.

Franz Konrad was born in Graz, Austria, founded Konrad Motorsport in 1976.

As a driver, he won the 1983 German Formula 3 Championship in an Anson SA4-Toyota. In 1990, he took a career best 2nd in the 1990 24 Hours of Le Mans driving a Jaguar, then followed this with an overall victory in the 1993 24 Hours Nürburgring driving a Porsche 911.

But Konrad is not only a racing driver, he is also the team chef, technican and designer for the team based in Verl in Germany. He was the designer of the Konrad KM-011, a Group C sportscar using Lamborghini power.

The preparation and planning of endurance racing is not the only work of Konrad Motorsport. The factory also supports a tuning business for private customers wishing to have expert advice for their street cars. Famous marques such as Porsche, Ferrari and Lamborghini, all find their way to Konrad Motosport.

• 24 hrs at Daytona and 12 hrs at Sebring with the brand new Lola B98/10
  with lotus engine
• ALMS-Series with Porsche 911 GT2 finished at the podium in Road Atlanta
  and Portland
• FIA GT Worldchampionship with Porsche 911 GT2 finished at the podium at Hockenheim and Budapest
• Le Mans with the Racing for Holland Lola
• 4th overall Porsche Carrera Cup

2000

• 4th 12 hrs Sebring

• winner of the GTS Championship of the American Le Mans Series with wins at Sebring and Laguna Seca and finished on the podium at Portland, Sears Point, Mosport, Mid-Ohio and Atlanta with Konrad Saleen S7R
• 3rd place 24 hrs Le Mans in the GTS-class
• Class winner ELMS at Jarama and finished on the podium at Donington,
  Estoril and Vallelunga

2002

• ALMS with the Konrad Saleen S7R second places at Sebring and Laguna Seca
• 3rd place GTS-class 24 hrs Daytona
• Grand-Am-Series winner of the GTS-class at Watkins Glen and 2nd place Daytona hrs
• 7th hrs Le Mans

2003

• 5th GTS-class 24 hrs Daytona with Konrad Saleen S7R
