Pian entered the 1950 Monaco Grand Prix but crashed in practice and didn't take the start. It was his only attempt at F1.
Alfredo Piàn was born in Las Rosas, Argentina. He was a racing driver who entered the 1950 Monaco Grand Prix with a Maserati 4CLT-50 run by Scuderia Achille Varzi. During the Saturday practice sessions, Pián, who had already qualified in 18th place, spun on oil and crashed into the guard-rail and was thrown out of the car. He sustained a broken fibula and not only didn't started the race, but never tried to race in F1 again.
